In this class students (5th-12th grade) will complete an online unit study over bacteria and complete an at-home petri dish study. 

Week 1-learn about different types of bacteria, bacteria components, and common bacteria in the home

Week 2-learn about how to create an effective petri dish sample

Week 3-4 These two weeks are sample and data weeks. Students will complete the project at home sampling bacteria on common surfaces (toilet, sink, tv remote). 

When the course is finished, the student will create a posterboard with the results.
