Charter & Private School Self Paced Options

Welcome charter, private school, and homeschool co-op families! Please read over the following carefully before making your class purchase.

SWMC's program services as an approved self paced secular class provider for several charter, private, and co-op programs in the US, Canada, and Dubai.

Parents, please check with your charter school if you would like to use charter funds.

Here is a video explaining how my program can complement a charter, co-op, or private school program.

If a charter or school has questions about grades or assessments, please view the following video

Requirements: The science program utilizes an interactive notebook method. All students will need a spiral or composition notebook. Students will use that notebook to house notes, vocabulary, science sketches, and assignment questions. All classes are housed in Google Classroom, so the parent will need to provide the student's gmail address. This is an address that will end in @gmail.com not the charter or a business email address. Each self paced course can be used in the following ways:

-the parent can use the material to teach the material from home

-the supervising teacher at the charter school can assign the student to work independently or can use the material to teach from at the school location

-the student can work independently in Google Classroom

All self paced classes include weekly assignment tasks, lab instructions, video clips, pdf reading sections, and assessments. Students will be provided a code to take online assessments through a program called Wayground Quizizz. Quizizz provides immediate grading after the assessments is completed. Students have unlimited access to assessments, and may retake assessments to improve the assessment grade. The first week of class all students will be provided a spiral template. The template will encourage students to write down their test scores and use the module checklist to help with organization/time management.

Please view the charter program class catalog.
