Description: In this course, students will learn the art of writing and having fun at the same time. This course will feature a full year with 36 weeks (two semesters). Students will learn along the way tips to mind map and brainstorm before writing. Then each week students will be a new topic to write on. Students have a full year to complete the course.
This class is tailored to the student's grade level. Please list the grade level on the registration form.
Grade Levels: 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8th available.

Self Paced Method- 36 weeks of topics
With this method the student will log into Google Classroom each week to find a new writing prompt. The parent works with the student to check grammar and work on punctuation. Take away the stress of trying to find writing prompts, instead use this weekly writing prompt class to help your child begin their writing journey. Each week has easy to follow prompts, some with video links and summarizes of new vocabulary.
The course can be used as supplementation to your current curriculum. All grade level students should be completing a full language arts program. Writing is only a part of the language arts program. If you need help finding a strong full language arts program please let us know. But this is only a section of the requirements to meet state requirements for language arts.
Example Lesson: A lesson on homes made out of caves is presented. The lesson will include a short video clip on caves and instructions for the writing prompt. Then the student will write about the excitement of living in a cave. Each writing prompt has specific instructions that will vary from adding 10 adjectives, writing 12 complete sentences, or writing from third person. Each prompt will vary to encourage different language arts skills.
This easy to follow class that helps parents provide unique writing prompts, and encourages writing that is housed in Google Classroom allowing students to work at their own pace. Students will be provided a full year of writing prompts, which is a great addition to any homeschool curriculum.
